Damasus, SANA-Government hospitals provided about 25,000 medical services during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
In a statement, Dr. Bashar Kinani, Director of Health Facilities at the Health Ministry, said that’’ 25 percent of the cases that admitted to hospitals were injuries resulting from traffic accidents or injuries from fireworks and rubber bullets’’.
Kanani added that hospitals also received numerous cases of multiple fractures and bruises resulting from stampedes, especially among children, as well as burns and falls from great heights.
Hospitals also continue to perform emergency and critical surgeries and monitor impatients on a regular basis.
He indicated that the Ministry has prepared a pre-planned scheme in coordination with health directorates in various governorates to ensure the optimal provision and uninterrupted delivery of medical services in hospitals.
