Amman, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad al-Shaibani welcomed the support of all countries participating in the Syria and Neighboring Countries meeting by Syria in facing the challenges it faces today, their respect for the unity and independence of Syrian territories, their joint rejection of Israeli threats, and their adoption of lifting the unjust sanctions on the Syrian people.
“I thank Jordan and all participating delegations, which clearly reflect their keenness to cooperate and coordinate to confront common challenges and consolidate security in the region.” The Foreign Minister said in a press conference during his participation in the meeting held in Jordan, which brought together delegations from Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq.
Minister al-Shaibani also expressed his gratitude for the neighboring countries’ support for the Syrian people over the past years and for hosting Syrians despite the huge challenges, which will leave social and moral bonds with the host countries in the Syrian memory.
Minister al-Shaibani stressed the importance of boosting joint investment and economic cooperation between Syria and neighboring countries in vital areas, stressing the readiness to continue with this positive spirit that prevailed in today’s meeting and that will prevail in upcoming meetings, and to build on what is being achieved and enhance joint work for a better future for the region and the world.
