Vienna, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif the situation in Syria.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday that the two sides discussed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and exchanged views on some global issues, particularly the crisis in Syria and preparations for the Fifth Caspian Summit.

Lavrov also held a meeting with EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, in which they discussed the crisis in Syria, the Iranian nuclear program, and the situation in Ukraine.
