Ankara, SANA- Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, affirmed Wednesday that his country will not accept any attempt to threaten Syria’s stability and will not allow a fait accompli to be imposed in the region.
“We will not allow the imposition of a fait accompli in our region, nor any initiative that threatens or jeopardizes the lasting stability of Syria and the region,” Anadolu News Agency quoted Erdogan as saying in a statement to reporters on his plane returning from Italy.
Erdogan stressed the importance of ensuring Syria’s territorial integrity, and that all spectrum works together for a united Syria, mobilizing their energies and strength to this end.
He pointed out that the Israeli raids on Syria are an attempt to undermine the positive atmosphere established by the new administration in Damascus, describing these raids as an unacceptable provocation.
