Turkish minister details Syria action plan focused on transport, infrastructure

Ankara, SANA-Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu outlined on Saturday the details of the Syria Action Plan focused on transport, infrastructure.

During a meeting of the Justice and Development Party’s Central Committee, Oraloglu articulated, according to the news website “Turkey daily,” that ’The plan aims to address the structure of Syria’s transportation, communications, and telecommunication departments, identifying capacity development needs in these sectors, and assessing the performance of relevant Syrian institutions to identify existing gaps.

The Turkish Minister of Transport stated that experts wilwould send Syria in this regard, providing all forms of technical and logistical support. The Çobanbay-Aleppo and Meydan-Ekbez-Aleppo railway lines will be rehabilitated, in addition to addressing deficiencies at Damascus and Aleppo airports, and providing aircraft maintenance and repair support.
