Amman, SANA-The Jordanian Ministry of Interior has announced that the Jaber Border Crossing with Syria, opposite the Nassib crossing, will operate round-the-clock starting from March 23.
The ministry stated in a statement Monday that this decision follows coordination with the Syrian side and the implementation of all measures necessary to ensure efficient operations.
It also aims to provide logistical and security facilities to ensure smooth movement at the border center. Consequently, the working hours of the Jaber border crossing will align with the Omari border crossing with Saudi Arabia.
The ministry explained that this decision, coinciding with the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday—during which an increase in traveler movement is expected—aims to streamline procedures for passenger departures, cargo transportation, and reduce waiting times.
It also seeks to support and boost trade exchange, as well as stimulate economic activity between Jordan and Syria. The center is currently witnessing heavy freight traffic and a significant increase in passenger movement.
