President al-Assad refers State Council law to Higher Constitutional Court

Damascus, SANA-President Bashar al-Assad on Monday referred the State council Law, lately approved by People’s Assembly, to the Higher Constitutional Court to reconsider the constitutionality of some of its rules and the extent of their agreement with articles of the Constitution.

The reference of the law by President al-Assad comes after approving it by the People’s Assembly to confirm that it would be in harmony with rules of the constitution.
