People’s Assembly approves draft law on establishing teachers’ retirement fund

Damascus, SANA- The people’s Assembly, headed by its speaker Mohammad Jihad la-Laham, approved on Sunday a draft law on establishing teachers’ retirement fund.

Education Minister Hazwan al-Waz pointed out that approving the law came after viewing a number of experiences for the vocational syndicates in Syria as these of Engineers, Lawyers, Doctors Syndicate, where they became an example to be followed.

He clarified that the teachers’ retirement fund has legal personality feature, the right to have movable and immovable money and invest them in a way that achieve its goals.
