Lattakia, SANA – An art exhibition showcasing works made of leftover objects is being held at the Central Library at Tishreen University in Lattakia province.
Artist Rana Zahlout, whose exhibition was held on the sidelines of a Scientific Environment Symposium, said she aims through her works to send a message of the importance to maintain environment and make optimal use of remnants of environment and household objects that are no longer of use.
The exhibits included a large number of paintings and artistic products which are mostly a recreation of recycled paper, cardboard, cassette tapes, CDs, threads, cloths and empty glass bottles among other materials and coated with paints in a variety of bright colors.
