Syrian-Azerbaijani talks to enhance cooperation in educational field

Damascus, SANA-Education Minister Dr. Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turko discussed Wednesday with Charge d’ affairs of the Embassy of Azerbaijan Republic in Damascus, Mr. Elnur Shahhuseynov, future prospects for cooperation and the status of the educational process in Syria, particularly vocational education.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry’s building in Damascus, the two sides discussed several topics, most notably the status of vocational education, future plans for its development, and providing effective links between students and the labor market, in a way that suits their specializations and skills.

They also reviewed the needs to support vocational education, including the necessary supplies and equipment for schools, in addition to the possibility of benefiting from the Azerbaijani experience in the field of vocational education.

The two sides stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in promoting and developing vocational education, which would contribute in building a better future for students in Syria.
