Minister of Education, UNICEF discuss education sector priorities in Syria

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Education Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rahman Turko discussed with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Representative in Syria, Yasumasa Kimura, prospects for developing relations and cooperation between the ministry and the organization.

‏ Minister Turko stressed the government’s commitment to ensuring education for all children, noting the importance of coordination with the organization regarding the education sector’s priorities for the next phase.

For his part, Kimura highlighted the importance of supporting the education process and rehabilitating schools in destroyed areas to facilitate the return of their residents.

He expressed the organization constant readiness to provide everything that would develop the education sector in Syria, noting the efforts made by the ministry in this field.
