Ankara, SANA- Turkey welcomed formation of the new Syrian government, saying that this step, that followed the National Dialogue Conference and the Constitutional Declaration, stresses the Syrian administration’s commitment to achieve a comprehensive Syrian-led political transition process.
In a statement posted on Turkish Foreign Ministry’s website, Ankara affirmed determination to continue supporting the comprehensive and inclusive political process in Syria, which is one of the basics of establishing security and stability there.
The ministry reiterated calls to lift sanctions imposed on Syria, saying that in this critical period, it is important for the international community to exert more efforts on achieving stability in Syria.
The statement added that it is necessary to lift sanctions without preconditions and begin reconstruction process of the country.
