Geneva, SANA- State of Kuwait affirmed its firm stance in condemning the attacks perpetrated by outlaw groups in Syria, which target state security forces and undermine efforts to achieve stability.
“Kuwait fully supports efforts to promote and protect human rights in Syria,” said Abdullah Al-Khubaizi, Deputy Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, in a statement read during an interactive dialogue with the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Alkhubaizi welcomed the agreement to integrate all civilian and military institutions in northeast Syria into the state administration, deeming it necessary to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He also expressed the State of Kuwait’s condemnation of the repeated aggressions by the Israeli occupation forces on Syrian soil, as they violate international law and the UN Charter and threaten regional security.
Al-Khubaizi renewed the call made by the State of Kuwait for the necessity of lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria, due to their negative impact on the Syrian people and their basic rights.
