Syria’s football team defeats Indonesian counterpart 2-0 at Mandiri U20 Challenge Series

Jakarta, SANA- Syria’s football team secured a 2-0 win over Indonesia in the second round of the Mandiri U20 Challenge Series, held Monday at the Gelora Delta Stadium in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Footballer Majd Ramadan opened the scoring in the 29th minute, and Anas Dahhan scored a second goal in the 66th minute of the match.

Syria’s team will face Jordan in the third round on Thursday. It had previously defeated India 6-1 in the tournament opener.

This tournament serves as a crucial preparation for the Syrian team as they gear up for the upcoming Asian finals in China next month. Placed in Group 4, the Syrian team will face tough competition from South Korea, Japan, and Thailand.
