Death toll due to Quake in Turkey surpasses 44 thousand persons

Ankara, SANA- The death toll has increased since the first earthquake struck Turkey early on February 6^th to 44.218 persons.

Anadolu News Agency quoted the Turkish disaster management agency (AFAD) as saying in a statement that 9136 aftershocks had been recorded following the devastative earthquake hit the area, while the number of the people who have been evacuated from the affected areas reached 528.146.

Previous death toll indicated that 43.556 people died from the earthquake.
