Pedersen, Khaji discuss the situation in Syria

Tehran, SANA- UN Special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, discussed on Monday with Senior Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister for special Political Affairs, Ali Asghar Khaji, the latest developments of the situation in Syria.

Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the two sides also discussed the upcoming meeting of the committee of discussing the constitution and developments of Astana process, adding they expressed concern about the recent escalation of the practices of terrorist groups and stressed the need to continue fighting terrorism.

The fourth round of meetings of the Committee of discussing the constitution was held between November 30th and December 4, 2020.
