Damascus, SANA – President Bashar al-Assad issued decree no. 290 on naming the new rector of Damascus University.
As per the decree, Mohammad Hassan Muwaffaq al-Kurdi, member of the Faculty of Sciences at the Damascus University, is named Rector of Damascus University. The decree also terminates the decree issued in 2012 naming al-Kurdi as Assistant Minister of Higher Education.
