Syrian under-15 basketball team takes part in West Asia tournament

Tehran, SANA-West Asia under-15 basketball championship started Friday in Tehran with participation of Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan.

Palestine and Yemen made an apology not to participate.

Adnan al-Ani, head of the Syrian team to the championship told SANA that Syrian participation in the tournament is an achievement, hoping the Syrian team would gain one of the first three places.

The first three teams will qualify to Asia Cup finals.
