Iran: Saudi, Jordan meetings are not part of Vienna agreement

Tehran, SANA, Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian re-affirmed Thursday that only the Syrian people should decide about their country’s future warning of marginal meeting in Saudi kingdom and Jordan.

Two rounds of talks over the crisis in Syria were held in Vienna, where in November talks participants agreed on a political process leading to elections in Syria within two years.

The peace talks are an opportunity to find a political solution to end the crisis in Syria, but meetings in Riyadh are aimed at harming the Vienna talks, Fars news agency quoted Amir Abdollahian as saying.

He added that the meeting in Riyadh is not part of Vienna agreement.
