Damascus, SANA- Culture Minister, Mohammed Yassin Saleh received on Sunday, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Faisal Al-Majfal, at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus.
Saleh praised the depth of the historical relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia, stressing the importance of developing these relations in various fields, especially cultural ones, in a way that reflects the fraternal ties and common interests between the two brotherly peoples.
Ambassador al-Majfal expressed his happiness with this visit, noting that Syria is going through a new phase that requires concerted efforts in order to build a future worthy of the Syrian people who deserve to live in peace and stability.
Al-Majfal also stressed the depth of Syrian-Saudi relations and his country’s readiness to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The two sides agreed on the importance of continuing cultural coordination between the two countries and opening new horizons for joint action in the coming period, in a way that serves the two countries’ aspirations for knowledge and cultural exchange.
