Damascus, SANA- As part of the Ministry of Information’s plan to relaunch and revitalize official media, the Syrian News Channel (al-Ikhbariya) will launch its first official broadcast on Monday, at 5:00 PM with its new visual identity via satellite.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the channel’s director, Jamil Srour, said that the’’al-Ikhbariya channel launched its first test broadcast on Friday on the ”Nilesat “satellite according to the frequencies 12303 H 27500 and 11938 V 27500, and the two satellites “Suhail 1″ and” Suhail 2”of the Qatar Satellite Company“Suhail Sat.”
Srour added, “the channel will cover all current events in Syria from a national perspective, offering a range of political, economic, and livelihood-related news and programs, in addition to focusing on social media platforms, which were neglected under the former regime.”
