Turkish Trade Minister intends visiting Syria to boost relations between both countries

Ankara, SANA-Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat visits Syria Wednesday, accompanied by a delegation of businessmen and chairmen of Turkish chambers, in order to discuss enhancing cooperation in Syria’s economic development field during the new phase.

During his visit, Minister Bolat will discuss developing relations between economic actors in Turkey and Syria, as well boosting coordination between institutions for building a free Syrian State”, Turkish Anadolu Agency quoted sources in Turkish Trade Ministry as saying in statement Wednesday.

“Turkish Minister will also discuss cooperation issues in fields of trade, customs, transportation, investment, finance, banking, contracts, and energy”, the statement added.

The sources noted that Minister Bolat will also hold bilateral meetings and delegation-level meetings in Damascus with Ministers of Economy, Finance, and Transport, and Director-General of General Authority for Land and Sea Ports.
