MOH discusses with King Salman Center and International Red Cross ways to enhance cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Zuhair Qarat, discussed with a delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, headed by Suleiman bin Ahmed Al-Tashree, ways to enhance joint health cooperation.

During the meeting held at the Ministry’s building in Damascus, the mechanism for securing the necessary requirements for improving the health sector, securing medical devices and equipment, and developing a clear plan regarding services and assistance was drawn up.

In the same context, Dr. Qarat, discussed with Stephan Sakalian, ICRC Head of Delegation in Syria, and the accompanying delegation, ways to upgrade joint cooperation in the health field and the reality of medical services provided in Syria.

The two sides deliberated common topics being worked on to contribute to strengthening health support for all provinces, assessing needs, and discussing the reconstruction and rehabilitation of destroyed hospitals, in addition to discussing new projects under implementation and training health workers.
