Damascus, SANA- Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Hussein al-Masri, has confirmed that the ministry is working on developing the telecommunications sector and providing the highest quality services.
“We are working on developing the telecommunications sector, providing services that meet the aspirations of the Syrian citizens, and offering the highest quality services through telecommunications centers in the southern provinces,” Minister al-Masri said in a statement to SANA.
He added, “We are striving to improve the status of telecommunications services across Syria, whether by expanding the infrastructure or improving the quality of the services provided.”
Minister al-Masri continued, “We recognize the important role of postal services in the life of the Syrian citizens, and we are working on enhancing the performance of the directorate to better and faster meet the needs of the citizens.”
He clarified that “The new government has experienced the suffering of the Syrian people, who have endured a great deal of injustice under the previous regime. It is a great honor to serve Syria and its people by setting plans and policies aimed at building a developed Syria in the fields of modern technology, to earn an esteemed international standing.”
Al-Masri noted that the ministry will use modern technologies based on optical fibers to develop the telecommunications sector, to provide advanced telecommunications and internet services befitting the Syrian citizens, and to elevate Syria’s global ranking in internet speed.
