Al-Shaibani: Paris Conference participants show strong will to support transitional phase in Syria

Paris, SANA- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al-Shaibani stressed that the Paris Conference witnessed a strong will from all participants to support the transitional phase in Syria along with lifting the sanctions imposed on it.

“I participated in the conference at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and his Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot,” al-Shaibani posted on X, adding that the discussions from all participating countries were fruitful and valuable.

There was a strong will from the participants in Paris conference to support the transitional phase and the current political process, al-Shaibani underscored, “The need to lift the sanctions imposed on Syria was also clearly voiced, and the conference concluded with a joint statement supporting the Syrian people in determining their future”.

He went on to say “The most beautiful thing in my visit to Paris was that I started my day with a meeting of Syrian civil society and ended it with a fruitful discussion with the Syrian community there. Every conversation with the Syrians uplifts hope and bolsters ambition to build Syria that we all proud of”.
