Turkey lifts trade restrictions imposed on Syria

Ankara-SANA- Turkish Trade Ministry announced cancellation of restrictions imposed on Syria during the period of the defunct regime, making the trade between the two countries normal in all aspects.

The ministry indicated in a statement reported by the Anadolu News Agency that the restrictions imposed on exports and transit operations through the Turkish customs area to Syria have been cancelled.

“Goods imported from Syria will be subject to the same conditions as other countries, whether in terms of import regulations, product safety monitoring procedures or customs duties.” the Ministry added.
