Abu Dhabi,SANA- Within the framework of the activities of the second day of the Fourth International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Global Implementation Support conference 2025, in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, representatives of the Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation held a series of important meetings with a number of senior officials of (ICAO) Organization.
During these meetings, it was agreed to hold an additional session soon to sign the management services agreement between the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority and the ICAO, which aims to enhance technical cooperation and develop institutional performance.
The issue of frozen Syrian civil aviation funds abroad was also discussed, with a focus on ways to benefit from these funds in developing infrastructure, supporting training and qualification programmes, and updating technical systems, in line with the requirements and standards of the (ICAO).
These meetings reflect Syria’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the global arena of the field of civil aviation, and its keenness to develop this sector in line with the best international practices.
