Damascus, SANA- Ministry of Health and the Syrian Civil Defense Organization discussed Monday ways to collaborate and coordinate on emergency response and patient referrals.
That came during a meeting that brought together Dr. Zuhair Qarrat, Director of Planning and International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Health, and Hassan al-Hassan, Director of Civil Defense in Damascus.
During the meeting, held at the Ministry of Health building, the two sides emphasized the need to activate a central operations room for referrals and emergency services.
They emphasized the importance of central coordination within this framework, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, to transfer patients between health facilities and governorates.
The two officials also highlighted the significance of conducting training courses for communication officers in the operations room. These courses would focus on effective communication and coordination with other personnel from the Civil Defense, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), and other relevant organizations.
