Sri Lankan President accepts credentials of Ambassador al-Khatib as Non-Resident Ambassador of Syria

Colombo, SANA – President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, accepted the credentials of Ambassador Bassam al-Khatib, as the Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Syria to Sri Lanka.

Meeting with al-Khatib on Friday, Wickremesinghe wished the return of stability and security to Syria, and stressed the importance of strengthening the historical friendship between the two countries.
