Putin, Merkel discuss situation in Syria by phone

Moscow, SANA_ Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday discussed with German Chancellor Angela Merkel,  in a telephone call,  situation in Syria and the political settlement in it.

“Putin informed Merkel of the results of his recent talks in Sochi with the Turkish regime’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which focused  on the need to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, Russia Today  website, quoted Kremlin as saying.
