Damascus, SANA – President Bashar al-Assad issued on Sunday Decree No. 17 for the year 2014 establishing a scientific commission called “the General Commission of Forensic Medicine”.
Based on the decree, the commission has legal personality and financial and administrative independence and will be linked to the Prime Minister.
The commission, which will be headquartered in Damascus, aims at implementing the national policy of forensic medicine and providing and
coordinating forensic, scientific, research and training services.
