New York, SANA- Russia officially takes over the monthly rotating presidency of the United Nations Security Council from Poland on Friday.

The most important meeting during the Russian presidency of the council, which will be held on June 25,  will discuss the general situation in the Middle East and North Africa.

On October 1, 2016, Russia took the rotating presidency of the Security Council.
