Geneva, SANA- World Health Organization (WHO) said that United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) has provided three million dollar grant to support healthcare operations in Syria
“this grant contributes to enhance the continuity of essential medical services, disease control, and providing mental health support in areas most affected by displacement and humanitarian crises.“the organization said in a statement posted on its website on Wednesday.
According to the WHO, this six-month initiative will directly benefit more than 530,000 people, including internally displaced persons, returning refugees, members of host communities and vulnerable families, in addition to indirectly benefiting approximately 5 million people through improved health systems and medical coverage across Syria.
