Deputy Minister of Health, JCI delegation discuss ways to bolster collaboration

Damascus, SANA- Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Hussein al-Khatib met with a delegation from Junior Chamber International (JCI) in Damascus, led by the national representative of JCI, Karam Mustafa, to explore avenues for enhancing mutual cooperation.

During the meeting, held Sunday at the ministry’s headquarters, Dr. al-Khatib outlined current priorities and ongoing efforts to rebuild and renovate damaged healthcare facilities, address shortages in medical equipment and supplies, and improve care for cancer patients and those requiring dialysis treatment.

In turn, the head of the delegation spoke about JCI’s programs, particularly in the medical sector, which include health awareness initiatives on various diseases through expert-led discussions.

The chamber’s activities also focus on pharmaceutical sector needs, breast cancer awareness, and psychological support for patients and survivors.
