Damascus, SANA- Transport Minister, Dr. Yarub Badr, discussed Tuesday with Chargé d’Affaires of the Pakistani Embassy in Damascus, Umer Hayat Khan, means of developing bilateral relations in the field of transport and enhancing joint cooperation.
The two sides also held talks on mechanisms for activating joint agreements and expanding joint cooperation in all areas of transportation, in a way that would be positively reflected on activating commercial and economic movement.
Minister Badr briefed Mr. Hayat Khan on the situation of transport sector in Syria and the rehabilitation and development it needs, especially the road and railway transportation, noting that the transportation sector is the backbone of the economy in every country, and cooperation must be made with all friendly countries to restore it.
In turn, the Pakistani ambassador renewed his country’s stance in support of Syria, pointing out the necessity of supporting and strengthening relations between both transport institutions, resuming flights, and the importance of activating commercial and economic movement in a way that serves the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
