Damascus, SANA -A Syrian-Canadian delegation discussed with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi the possibility of establishing educational and academic projects in the fields of tourism, aviation, and marine sciences, as well as the introduction of artificial intelligence into higher education curricula.
During the meeting held on Sunday at the ministry’s building in Damascus, the delegation, headed by Engineer Mulham Al-Droubi, discussed with Minister Al-Halabi projects for reconstruction, the establishment of an academy for tourism sciences, an academy for aviation education, and its engineering.
They also discussed the establishment of a college of marine sciences, projects to introduce artificial intelligence into higher education curricula, and virtual education through the establishment of new virtual universities and colleges.
For his part, Minister al-Halabi pointed out the importance of the projects carried out by the visiting delegation, the necessity of joint cooperation with them in the next phase, and the move towards investing in higher education.
Al-Halabi stressed the ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary facilities, especially in the specialized specializations that the delegation reviewed.
