Xi Jinping elected President of China for a new constitutional term

Beijing, SANA- Xi Jinping was unanimously elected president of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the PRC on Friday at the ongoing session of the 14th National People’s Congress.

Xi pledged loyalty to the Chinese constitution in a speech delivered at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing after his election to the ongoing annual legislative session of the National Congress, Xinhua News Agency stated.
