Activists storm a museum in New York to demand an end to the war on Gaza

New York, SANA- Hundreds of activists and those in solidarity with the Palestinian people stormed the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) building in Manhattan, New York, to demand a stance against genocide in the Gaza Strip and the apartheid policy practiced by Israel against the Palestinian people.

“The museum administration closed its doors after demonstrators staged a sit-in in the building denouncing the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and demanding the dismissal of members of its board of directors on the grounds of their connection to arms manufacturing companies that supply the Israeli occupation with weapons.” WAFA News agency reported.

In the same context, more than 100 cultural sector workers from the Metropolitan Museums of Art, Brooklyn, and the Studio issued an open letter protesting the silence of these institutions regarding Israel’s commission of genocide in Gaza.
