New York, SANA- The State of Qatar reiterated its condemnation of the repeated Israeli violations and attacks on Syrian territory, stressing that these attacks constitute a blatant assault on Syria’s sovereignty and unity.
“The State of Qatar strongly condemns the Israeli raids that targeted several areas in the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic, and considers them a blatant attack on the sovereignty and unity of Syria, and a flagrant violation of international law.” Qatar News Agency (QNA) quoted Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, as saying in a statement before the Security Council’s quarterly open debate on the situation in the Middle East on Thursday.
According to the statement, Qatar called on the international community to take urgent action to compel Israel to comply with international laws and norms and put an end for its repeated attacks on Syrian territory.
