World facing unprecedented climate emergency, Brazilian President

New Delhi, SANA- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva announced that world faces an unprecedented climate emergency.

Da Silva said at the opening of the G20 Summit in New Delhi that “The lack of commitment to the environment has led to an unprecedented climate emergency,” warning that Droughts, floods, storms and fires are becoming more frequent, and are undermining food and energy security.

He called on the countries that have historically contributed to the most global warming to bear the greatest costs to combat it.

Climate change are one of the priorities discussed at the G-20 Summit.
