Damascus, SANA – The long film “The Mother” won the Special Jury Award at the recently held Pyongyang International Film Festival.
The film is directed by Bassel al-Khatib and produced by the General Establishment of Cinema.
The award was handed to a delegation of the Syrian Embassy in Pyongyang.
The film is set in 2013 Syria telling the story of a family that has to deal with the unfolding events in the country due to the terrorist war and how its life was turned upside down.
