Syria wins silver medal at Arab Judo championship

Amman, SANA-Syrian judo Hasna Saeed won the silver medal at the Arab Judo Championship for adults, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the participation of 450 male and female athletes from 16 countries.

Saeed successfully rehashed the final in the over-70kg weight class, defeating two competitors from Iraq and Jordan, before losing the final to an Egyptian competitor due to a broken hand.

Saeed is a distinguished Judoka, having won several medals at Arab and West Asian Championships over the past few years, in addition to winning a bronze medal at the Asian Martial Arts Games held in Turkmenistan in 2017.
