UN official: Israeli aggression on Gaza hampers reliefs works

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- A member of the United Nations Committee for Human Rights in Palestine Chris Sidoti said that there are 37 tons of rubble due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza strip which hampers the work of international relief agencies, in light of the urgent need of the people of Gaza for food, water, and medical services.

Palestinian news agency WAFA quoted Sidoti as saying in a statement that “There is a strong Israeli insistence on imposing many restrictions in light of these dangerous circumstances, preventing the entry of aid.”

He pointed out that the risks facing the support teams due to the Israeli aggression are significant.

The UN official explained that the occupation authorities prevent granting permits for the medical teams, institutions concerned with human rights and international organization to bring food, water and medical services into the hospitals.
