A 6.2 magnitude earthquake strikes near coast of Venezuela

CARACAS, SANA-An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale hit near the coast of Venezuela on Sunday.

“The quake was at a depth of 93 km (57.79 miles” Reuters quoted the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences as saying.

The center added that there was no information about casualties or material damage resulting from the earthquake.
